Finally moving towards publishing my child: my five-year old second brain stored in Notion.
As a starting point, check out what I call my identity stack. These are the core things that make up who I am and guide everything I do. They flow in this order:
Beliefs → Values → Goals → Actions + Systems → Identities
Unfortunately, many of these terms are used interchangeable in society. You’ll find my definition of these terms in each page.
This is a work in progress! I’m currently experimenting with Quartz, a subdomain for my garden, and using a separate Obsidian vault to make edits to it. The downsides of this are:
- It’s separate from my main website. Which is OK, I guess, but would be better to have everything together. I’ll probably look into integrating the markdown into the main website later down the road.
- There’s an inherent version control issue between my private & public digital gardens, since they live on two different platforms (Notion & Obsidian). I won’t move off Notion since it contains my entire life, and it’s nice to be able to add additional private notes to pages published here. I guess that goes against the ethos of the digital garden, but I’m still figuring out my goals here.
- Perhaps, minus the active pages of the identity stack, I can treat this place as a place for atomic notes.
